What This Site Does
This site answers one question: which Istanbul hamam fits you? We track 22 bookable tours in three groups: historic hamams, private spa baths, and combos with city walks. Each listing shows rating, review count, duration, and cancellation terms before you book.
Nothing here is written by a hamam's marketing team. We read the live listings, pull the published ratings and review counts, and lay them out next to each other. If a tour has no reviews yet, we say so rather than guessing.
How This Site Works
Every figure comes from a live listing or an official hamam page, nothing else.
- Live listings. Ratings, review counts, durations, and cancellation terms are taken from each tour's live booking page.
- Official hamam pages. Cağaloğlu Hamamı's own site, for example, publishes its packages and prices directly.
- Public records. Founding dates, such as Cağaloğlu's 1741 build, come from documented history rather than tour brochures.
- Reader reports. When a listing changes hours or closes, we adjust the page rather than leaving stale details up.
What We Never Publish
We never invent ratings, prices, or review counts. Unpublished details simply do not appear.
- No invented numbers. Prices sit on the live booking page because they change; we do not quote figures we cannot check.
- No fake firsthand claims. We describe tours from their listings, not from trips we never took.
- No hidden fees. The price you see on the booking page is the price the operator charges, with nothing added by us.
How This Site Earns
When you book a tour through a link on this site, the operator pays us a small referral fee. The price you pay is the same either way. That fee keeps the site running and independent of any single hamam's marketing. We rank tours by what the listings show, not by which operator pays more.
No hamam can buy a better position here; the order follows the listing data. Ratings and review counts from the listings decide the order. If a tour stops performing, it drops, regardless of what it pays.
Who Is Behind The Site
This site is written and maintained by an independent editorial team, in English, for visitors from the United States. No hamam or operator owns it. We are travelers' researchers, not hamam owners. None of the baths listed here has any hand in what we publish, and no operator reviews copy before it goes live.
These pages are built from live listings and official hamam sites, read and compared for this site. That work shows up in small ways: knowing which baths have separate men's and women's sections, and which do not.
